- Families and church leaders seeking biblical guidance
- Anyone ready to break the cycle and rebuild their life

Questions We Hear Often
What information, organizations and resources are online to help me with my problem?
A quick search provides many different resources. On this website, we’ve linked a few for you. Between 12 step groups, faith-based recovery groups, therapists and residential facilities we are all blessed to have many more resources than in the past.
How do I know if I’m a sex addict?
There are many tools and websites that give insight as to whether a person is a sex addict or not. For the purposes of 1 Sam 2:8, we offer a “diagnostic tool” to help people understand the addiction and determine if it resonates with them. Please see the video link called “The Foundation”.
What are the first steps for me to find recovery?
The very first step in this process are to admit that there is a problem. The second is to find help. No one can fight this fight alone. Please see the resource page to find help that matches your needs.
Is there hope for recovery from this addiction?
Millions of people have found recovery from all sorts of addictions through 12 steps and a spiritual awakening. There is always hope to recover and find a new life, free from sex addiction. Please see the resources section of the website to connect with those that offer help.
How do I find healing as a betrayed partner?
Just as an addict has hope of recovery, a betrayed partner can find healing. It is important to understand that this is not a rapid process. It takes time to heal from the betrayal by someone we love. It is important to know that the betrayed partner is not alone, there are numerous resources for this particular type of trauma. Please see the resources section of the website.
Can I have a normal life?
This is a difficult question as we try to define “normal”. What we can find is relief of guilt and shame as it relates to both the disease of sex addiction and betrayed partners of the addict.
How can I help my significant other and family that are affected by this disease?
The resources provided on the website provide many organizations that provide help, but the best thing an addict can do to help is to be authentic, trustworthy and honest in their recovery process. The other critical thing is to be patient as those impacted process their trauma.
How long does recovery take?
Recovery from any addiction takes a lifetime. There is no cure to this disease, but recovery can start immediately. Studies show that it takes approximately 90 days to “detox” from the effects of the physical craving of sexual addiction.
Do I need a therapist to recover?
There is no “one size fits all” treatment for sex addiction. CSAT (certified sex addiction therapists) and CPTT (certified partner trauma therapists) are an invaluable tool in recovery.
